Million Dollar Script takes place in a lavish Hollywood office. Through extensive market research, the studio has identified a perfect hero, an equally perfect villain, and the tried-and-true structure seen in every blockbuster of the past decades guaranteed to make millions. But what the studio needs are the details. Two writing teams have been invited to pitch to a studio executive—the Exec. During the meeting, both teams are working on the same movie, pitching their ideas for five traditional story events. Each round, the Exec picks the Pitch they prefer, which then becomes part of the shared storyline. The losing Pitch gets discarded and treated as if it never existed.
Million Dollar Script is a fun creative duel that mixes the art of improvisation and acting skills. It is great for all ages — perfect for family gatherings, school-age groups and work environments.
In Million Dollar Script, one of the players takes on the role of a studio executive — the Exec, while the others form competing teams of screenwriters pitching their idea for the next big blockbuster!
It's not about any idea. The eccentric Exec has a specific vision about the movie's theme, main character, villain, plot, and special twists. Screenwriters need to get creative and adapt well to the crazy expectations.
Over 5 rounds, teams present their ideas to the Exec, describing the evolving plot, adding sound effects, and improvising dialogs. The Exec chooses which idea will be developed further by both teams in the next round.
Create Characters
To create Characters, you'll draw cards from the Heroic or Villainous Character decks. Depending on the cards you draw, the Character could be an unconventional viceroy, cruel werewolf, or even time-travelling sheriff.
Movie genres
What will be your next movie? Choose from drama, western, fantasy, sci-fi, horror, action film or thriller. A unique combination of the movie setting and specific Characters will create an unforgettable story that will win over Hollywood.
Do you want your story to take place in a Magic Academy? In Outer Space? During a Civil War? Or maybe in a Post-Apocalyptic scenario? Now it can.
Instead of using different genres, you are choosing a specific Setting. Each Setting card is its own individual Setting. The front of the Setting card replaces the Heroic card during Character Creation and similarly, the back of the card replaces a Villainous card.
Set contains 8 unique cards.
